What GP Trusted Tools is
GP Trusted Tools is an independent, community-built resource where people who work in UK general practice rate and review the tools they use every day — from clinical systems and online consultation platforms to telephony, equipment and training. It turns the advice that currently scrolls past in Facebook groups and WhatsApp threads into something searchable, structured and lasting.
Why context matters
A tool that works brilliantly for a 15,000-patient urban training practice on EMIS may be wrong for a 4,000-patient rural dispensing practice on SystmOne. That is why every review is tagged with the reviewer’s context — their role, practice list size, setting, clinical system, nation and how long they have used the tool — so you can weigh each opinion against your own situation.
Who can review
Anyone working in UK general practice: GPs, practice managers, nurses, pharmacists, reception and admin staff, and PCN teams. Reviews are published under a name of your choosing, which can be a pseudonym. We ask for a verified email address so we can confirm reviews are genuine, but your email is never shown publicly.
How we keep it trustworthy
We are independent and not affiliated with, endorsed by, or funded by the NHS or any of the vendors listed. Rankings and reviews are never for sale. Vendors cannot pay to change, hide or remove reviews. Every review is checked before it appears, and you can report anything that looks unfair or inaccurate.
